There was a 'No Smoking' sign on the dresser, but there was also an ash tray on the dresser. They said it was a non-smoking room, but the moment we opened the door, it clearly had been smoked in. We rented a Mini-Suite, Room 206, from them.

But for the price, you could stay down the road at a much nicer motel, which is what I should have booked in the first place.… So, if you are a heavy drinker who likes to smoke in bed, stay in the motel. I am guessing the 'non smoking' rooms are smoke smell filled anyway from the other reviews I read. At that point I said no, I recognize a fast one when I hear it, and stayed with my campsite reservation for my entire stay. I was OK with the price for a room, and the clerk updated my reservation (which took quite a while and many under the breath sighs and mumbles, such an inconvenience for this person), and THEN the clerk told me the price they had quoted was for a smoking room and it would be extra for a non smoking room. When I checked in for my camping spot, I asked about upgrading to a room for my first night because I needed to be up at 5am the next day. It is large, the hot water is really nice and hot with good pressure, but the drains back up badly and the whole building smells of mildew. The bathroom and shower facility that is for the RV Park guests is 'ok'. The pool and spa area look pretty good, but the weren't open in the winter. However, the sites do not even include a picnic table, let alone a fire ring, and the place is lit up like a shopping mall so be sure to have black out curtains or don't stay here without a sleeping mask.

I ended up staying in the RV Park part of this place, and it was OK, actually nice and quiet for a road-side facility full of big 5th wheels and RV's. Hilton Tulum Riviera Maya All-Inclusive Resort.
